Burren Trad Retreat – Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings and Payment
Places at the Burren Trad Retreat must be booked through our website.
The cost of attending the retreat is €300 per person.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation by email.
Places are limited to five participants per instrument (timber flute and concertina) to ensure small, focused tuition groups.
Bookings are subject to availability.
2. The Retreat
The Burren Trad Retreat takes place in Kilfenora, County Clare, on the advertised dates.
The retreat includes:
Three mornings of small-group instrument tuition.
Opportunities to play music and participate in informal traditional music sessions.
Organised evening activities.
Free time to explore the Burren and surrounding area.
The retreat is intended for adult musicians. Participants should have some experience playing their chosen instrument.
The organisers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme, tutors or schedule where necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated to registered participants.
3. Cancellation Policy – Participant Cancellations
We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us by email as soon as possible.

Where permitted, participants may request to transfer their booking to another person, subject to prior agreement from the organisers.
Please contact us before making any arrangements to transfer a booking.
4. Cancellation or Changes by the Organisers
In the unlikely event that the Burren Trad Retreat has to be cancelled by the organisers, registered participants will be notified as soon as possible.
If the retreat is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, participants will receive a full refund of the booking fee.
If the retreat is rescheduled, participants will be given the option to accept the alternative dates or receive a refund.
5. Accommodation and Travel
The retreat booking fee covers the activities and tuition specifically described on the website.
Accommodation, travel, meals and personal expenses are not included unless explicitly stated in the booking description.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and transport to and from Kilfenora.
6. Participant Responsibilities
Participants are expected to:
Arrive on time for scheduled tuition and activities.
Treat tutors, organisers and fellow participants with courtesy and respect.
Take reasonable care of the venues and facilities used during the retreat.
Follow any reasonable safety instructions provided by the organisers.
Please inform the organisers in advance of any requirements or circumstances that may affect your participation.
7. Liability and Insurance
Participants attend the retreat and take part in activities at their own responsibility.
The organisers will take reasonable care to provide a safe and welcoming environment. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings and musical instruments.
8. Photography and Promotional Material
Photographs or video may occasionally be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes.
We will seek participants’ permission before using identifiable photographs or video of them in promotional material.
9. Privacy and Personal Information
Personal information supplied during booking will be used to process reservations, manage the retreat and communicate important information to participants.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
